Accessing the iGoldMine Demo site

Getting Around in iGoldMine*

1) Go to http://igoldmine.pequodsystems.com. You will see:

2) Click on the unsigned Java client.

3) A Logon to pqd-dc window with the iGoldMine logo opens.

4) In the User name dialog box, enter DEMO.

5) In the Password dialog box, enter mine4gold. Use only lower case letters.

6) Click Logon. The Program Window opens.

7) Double-click on the GoldMine icon you want. Another dialog box opens. It should show user name DEMO. If it does not, enter DEMO.

8) In the Password dialog box, enter mine4gold. Be sure to use lower case letters. GoldMine 6.7 opens.

9) To find one of the companies listed, click on Lookup in the top menu as shown here:

10) A menu drops down. Click on COMPANY. The Contact Search Center opens as shown here:

11) Enter a letter, and you will see a list of companies that start with that letter. Select the company whose contact information you would like to see.

Try It!

(Your computer will not melt before your very eyes)

Novice Level

Click on the GM+View tab. You will see the company’s website. (Some websites come up faster than others.)

Apprentice Level

Click on Complete on the tool bar as shown here.

A menu will drop down.

Click Unscheduled Call. Click either Outgoing Call or Incoming Call.

A dialog box like the one below will open.

Fill in the blanks in the box as you wish. Click OK.

Click on the History tab as shown below.

You will see the heading of your entry. To read it again, left click on it. To edit your entry, right click on it and make your corrections.

Voyager Level

Click on the Fields tab as shown below. Depending on which GoldMine example you selected, you will probably see different field names than the ones shown.

Right click in a blank area to the right of the field names. A menu will come up showing names of screens of data.

Financial Manager will show screens for Investment, Assets, Personal Information, Estate, Retirement and Tax/Income screens.

Commercial Real Estate will show Property, Transactions, Due Diligence, Investor, Seller and 1031 Buyer screens.

Residential Real Estate will show Control Center, Property Information, Listing Information, Buyer Requirements, Closing Information, Documentation, Contingencies, Absentee and Flier/Presentation screens.

Left click on any of the screen names. You will see a new screen showing additional fields where you can track information. The restricted DEMO user cannot add information to these fields. In your environment, however, users most likely will be enabled to do so.

Log Out

Feel free to click on other buttons and tabs in GoldMine before you log out. Your computer will not melt before your very eyes. J

When it’s time to leave, please click File/Exit. Exit from your browser.

*iGoldMine is not yet available for Macintosh or Linux users. We suggest Internet Explorer version 6.0 (or newer) or Netscape 7.0 (or newer). Mozilla FireFox can be used to access iGoldMine.
